A mostly vegetarian wedding of sharing bowls

This was a wonderful (if rainy) day back in July. There were 120 guests and the happy couple wanted it to be a very informal occasion based around sharing bowls, salads and cake stands of little sweet treats for dessert.

Sharing bowls
Moroccan veggie tagine
Aubergine, chickpea and tomato stew
Ginger chicken noodles with crunchy vegetables
(note – the above can be served warm or cold depending on the day)
Salads and sides
Mixed grain and lentil salad with salsa verde and toasted seeds
Watermelon and feta salad with peas, fennel and mint
French Beans, spinach and courgette salad with hazelnuts and orange
Home made breads and butter
Strawberries and Cream meringues
Selection of brownies/blondies
Mixed mini éclairs
Lime and basil macaroons

Costs – £24.00 per head plus £3.00 per head for a selection of reception canapes
